The Foundation was established by SANKO Holding and the Konukoğlu family in 1989. 

The Foundation was established by SANKO Holding and the Konukoğlu family in 1989. As per its charter, the Foundation is active in health and education. The foundation was granted tax exemption by the Council of Ministers Decree no: 95/7663 of 20 Dec 1995. 

The majority of the Foundations’ income comes through donations by Konukoğlu Family and the companies within SANKO Group. In 1997, the Foundation was chosen the Foundation of the Year in the field of “Health and Education” amongst 4500 similar foundations.

According to motto SHARING İS HAPPINESS, lots of aids and visits are carried out to social organizations and associations such as disabled organizations which conduct social projects, veterans associations, ghazis and families of mertyrs welfare associations, nursing homes, kindergartens and sites of children's homes.

Every year in Ramadan, due to nursing home residents, neighborhood leaders and volunteer teachers of the Mother Child Education Foundation in Gaziantep come together at Ramadan dinner organized by the Sani Konukoğlu Foundation.with members of the Board of Trustees.

AÇEV Activities /Literacy Training by Cooperation with Sani Konukoğlu Foundation and Açev
992 male and 8742 female, totally 9734 people has received certificate of literacy in courses provided by 352 volunteer teachers between 1998 and 2015.
